Bahrain Blexco launches a 2.25 MW rooftop solar power plant

According to Gulf Daily on May 6th, Balexco, Bahrain's aluminum extrusion company, held the completion ceremony of its 2.25 MW rooftop solar power project yesterday with the support of Kamal Ahmed, Chairman of the Electricity and Water Authority (EWA).

Blexco and Kanoo Clean Max collaborated to launch in November 2021, in line with Bahrain's vision of achieving net zero carbon emissions by 2060.

This project can meet Balexco's current 30% electricity demand and is expected to achieve 1773 tons of carbon reduction annually, equivalent to the environmental benefits of planting 21517 palm trees or reducing 377 cars on the road.
